A few simple ways you can help us care for Clark Gardens and make the gardens welcoming for everyone.
Clark Gardens is home to cultivated plant collections, wildlife, water features, and natural areas. As you explore, please help us protect the gardens for everyone who visits.
Stay on the Paths
Please stay on designated paths and out of garden beds and planted areas.
Leave Plants Where They Grow
Please don't pick flowers or leaves or collect seeds.
Respect the Wildlife
Please don't feed, touch, take, or disturb wildlife—including squirrels.
Keep Water Features for Looking
Please don't enter or play in ponds, lakes, fountains, or other water features.
Leave Bikes & Games Outside
Bicycles, skating, active sports, kites, Frisbees, balls, and similar activities aren't permitted within the gardens.
Leave Balloons & Flames at Home
Balloons and outdoor flames, including candles, are not permitted.
Non-aggressive dogs are welcome at Clark Gardens and must remain on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your pet and don't allow dogs to enter or swim in lakes or other water features.
Model Trains
Children should not climb on or touch the G-scale trains or tracks.
Smoking & Tobacco
Smoking and tobacco products/devices are permitted only in designated areas at the History House and Admissions Area public restrooms. They are not permitted elsewhere in the gardens.
Photography Equipment
Tripods are welcome as long as they don't interfere with other guests or block garden pathways.
Music & Noise
Amplified music and noise-making devices are not permitted unless approved in advance by Clark Gardens staff.
Private Events & Reserved Areas
Some areas of the gardens may be unavailable during weddings, private events, or reserved group activities. Please respect posted closures and reserved spaces.
Strollers & Wagons
Strollers and small wagons may be used to transport young children.
Footwear Consideration
As you explore, remember that the gardens are also home to insects, spiders, snakes, and other wildlife. Watch where you step, use caution along garden paths, and choose footwear appropriate for exploring outdoors.
